In this episode, I discuss the latest updates on my journey toward Jaw Surgery. I talk openly about my struggles and challenges that have caused me issues with the newfound inflammation of my gums. I also share my concerns about pregnancy and the health of my teeth, as well as the projected timeline for surgery.

The surgery discussed is used to correct a severe malocclusion (the teeth of the upper jaw or maxilla do not align appropriately with the teeth of the lower jaw or mandible) from a misaligned jaw is called orthognathic surgery. This includes procedures to move the upper jaw or maxilla forward, backward, or even to widen it. It also includes procedures to move the lower jaw or mandible rotationally to correct asymmetry, forward or backward. Orthognathic surgery is usually completed in conjunction with orthodontic treatment or braces.
